On a Thursday in June

It was a Thursday morning.
Last Thursday to be exact.
My Mom had flown in from California for two short days,
and we knew she'd be at our house at 11:00a.m.
By 7:30a.m. Pearl was showered, lotioned up, dressed and primped--
ready and waiting.
She was excited!
She was running in circles around the house,
asking everyone if they knew who was coming.
Nana got a big warm welcome from Pearl,
and Violet-- who walked right up for a hug.

The main event had been plan for weeks.
We'd go to Artic Circle for lunch,
which is just about equal to Disneyland for Pearl.

Nana told her friends and family
to join in on the party at A.C.
Aunt Ann and Luke.

Carol and Taciana.

Luke and Pearl.
Cute cousins with twinner eyes.

We took the place over for the bulk of the afternoon.

Complimentary cones, and fun was had by all.

We left with a couple of worn out girls.

We came home to a party of other sorts.
Thursday was a big day in the world of sports,
what, with the NBA draft and all.
Kelly and my dear cousin Cody
made a draft party of their own,
  full of pizza and excitement!

We rounded out a fun-filled day with a juicy watermelon.
 All in a Thursday folks.
All in a Thursday.
