This year, the Jewkes family
Thanksgiving feast
was held at the Horton homestead.

Jenny was the perfect host.
She had every little detail thought out to perfection,
and the food was
I was so proud of you Jen.
After the feast,
we gave ourselves a short break
before stuffing ourselves with the most
delightful razzleberry pie a la mode.

Oh man it was good.

Sheila offered to watch the littlest ones while the rest of us
hit the movie theater and saw
The Blind Side
Unfortunately this squinty-eyed picture would be the only shot Kelly and I would get.
You win some, you lose some.

You have to see this movie!
I'm sure you've heard it before, and now you'll hear it again.
The Blind Side is the best movie put out in a very long time.
Now I know why Sheila called daily asking if we had seen it yet.

We came home to find Pearl wearing a very special bracelet-
with her name on it.
It was made for her by her cousins Brooke and Emma.
Then I tried to get a picture of Pearl and Kelsey.
It didn't go very well.
Kelsey had to make a very important call,
and Pearl was so not in the mood to wait for her.

Around 9:00 that night,
we caught the tail end of the Bubert family party,
held at Uncle Doug's house.
You could smell the Southern cuisine pouring out the front door.
As full as we were,
we would be crazy to pass up a helping
of aunt Camille's crawfish and crab filled stuffing.
It is so good.
and by that I mean one of the best things you could ever eat.
I mean it.

It was a very very good day.
