Christmas is always such a great time for good food, family, and fun. When the snow really started coming down, we thought we'd be spending Christmas Eve with just the three of us. Unfortunately I hadn't gone to the grocery store in a while, which wouldn't be a problem if we would have heeded the advice to keep a year supply of food. ( We're working on it Sheila.) Instead, I was racking my brain on how I was going to make a Christmas Feast out of Wheat Thins, and String Cheese.

Luckily, the snow subsided, and we made our way down to Grandpa Howard's house. That's one place you know you're going to eat good. My mom and aunts are amazing cooks. It was great to see everyone. My cousin Shalane, who was supposed to be in Hawaii hopped on a plane and surprised everyone. She told us she had received her mission call to Jacksonville Florida. We also had more exciting news, We learned that Tonya and Dave are are expecting their second baby in May!

After we were sufficiently full, we made our way to the Horton's house in Syracuse. Now they also had some good food there as well, including the most delightful pies. So.....we ate again, not that we were complaining. We had fun visiting while the kids were running wild upstairs in their new Christmas pajamas. Pearl couldn't get enough of Kelsey, she would grab her face and hold on so tight her hands were shaking. She didn't have a plan for what she was going to do with her face after she got a hold of it, but she just kept doing it anyway.

We headed back home, so Santa would have plenty of time to fill our stockings and pile the presents under the tree. After all the excitement, Pearl drifted off into a deep sleep, where I'm sure those Sugar Plum Fairies were dancing in her head.
